Our Food

Food should be a mindful celebration of the wondrous experience of being alive. (Principles of Prana)

At the Carolina Bed & Breakfast we believe that food should be…

  • Seasonal, fresh, and locally sourced whenever possible
  • Made flavorful with fresh herbs and spices
  • Innovative and interesting
  • Attractive in presentation
  • Prepared with love and attention to detail

With its strong agriculture roots, including many small farms using sustainable practices, and chefs dedicated to enhancing the farm to table experience, Asheville has become a mecca for lovers of excellent food.  At the Carolina Bed & Breakfast your Asheville food experience will begin with breakfast. Our evening reception includes Biltmore Beverages as well as a selection of hot and cold canapés which are a highlight for many of our guests.  And when you return home in the evening a small sweet treat will be found in your room.

Breakfast is served between 8:30-9:30AM at your convenience

Breakfast begins with a fruit course. Sweet and Savory Main Dishes are served on alternate days.

Our Evening Reception is from 5:30-7PM daily. Both Hot and cold canapés are served.  Dishes change daily but are seasonal in nature.  Past examples include Coconut Shrimp, Stuffed Mushrooms, Avocado and Jalapeño Stuffed Puff Pastry, Caprese Salad on Skewers, Peach-Ricotta Bruschetta and more.

24 hour coffee, tea, soda, water and cookies are available in the guest pantry.

A small sweet treat will be placed in your bedroom nightly.

Our Guests Say...

Breakfast was different both mornings, but equally good. I loved that they always had nuts, cookies or chocolate available to satisfy any cravings.

A Note from Your Host…

I’m calling it!  Fall has officially started.  The early changing Redbud trees are giving way to yellows and oranges as other trees are racing to catch up.  Predictions are for a spectacular color season this year, starting earlier and lasting longer than usual. Our October is almost fully booked although we do have a few single nights left.  However it’s not too late for early November which can be as nice as October but with fewer crowds.

Looking forward, this year we are again offering a Biltmore Christmas Special.  The Biltmore is truly beautiful when decorated for the holidays and the Candlelight Evening often includes music and other forms of seasonal entertainment. The offer runs November 15, 2015-January 2, 2016 . You can see details on our Specials Page.
