Our Food

Food should be a mindful celebration of the wondrous experience of being alive. (Principles of Prana)

At the Carolina Bed & Breakfast we believe that food should be…

  • Seasonal, fresh, and locally sourced whenever possible
  • Made flavorful with fresh herbs and spices
  • Innovative and interesting
  • Attractive in presentation
  • Prepared with love and attention to detail

With its strong agriculture roots, including many small farms using sustainable practices, and chefs dedicated to enhancing the farm to table experience, Asheville has become a mecca for lovers of excellent food.  At the Carolina Bed & Breakfast your Asheville food experience will begin with breakfast. Our evening reception includes Biltmore Beverages as well as a selection of hot and cold canapés which are a highlight for many of our guests.  And when you return home in the evening a small sweet treat will be found in your room.

Clean, stylish and simple interiors and very friendly staff made this a top notch experience. Food was four star, fresh beautifully prepared and delicious. The bed was heavenly. Location was central to everything. We would stay there again and have already recommended it to our friends.

A Note from Your Host…

Summer is almost over and I know you are looking forward to the cooler weather!  Did you know that Asheville is considered to have the longest leaf season in the United States?  Color starts in late September way up in the mountains above us then reaches Asheville in Mid-October before heading to the mountains below in early November.  This year, once again, we are offering a very special FALL FARM AND ARTISAN TOUR of Sandy Mush Valley.  Enjoy this beautiful (and relatively unknown) valley on a self-guided tour, stopping at a vineyard for a picnic lunch and wine tasting then visit some of our best known artisans at their workshops.  This tour is exclusive to Asheville Bed & Breakfast Association Inns.  For more details, check our Specials Page.

Looking for a one night stay in October?  We have a few openings.   Please call 828-254-3608!

As if that isn’t thinking far enough ahead, check out our Biltmore Christmas Special.  Four floors of the Biltmore decorated from top to bottom for Christmas with an evening visit which includes rooms not open during the day. The fireplaces are lit and trees aglow as you tour the house.  This year’s theme is “Hearth and Home”.  It’s a Christmas tradition not to be missed!
