BILTMORE CHRISTMAS SPECIAL (2106)
Christmas in the early 1900’s was celebrated lavishly and spectacularly by George and Edith Vanderbilt. The tradition continues to this day. With 56 Christmas trees, 1000’s of poinsettias, and miles of garlands and lights, the Biltmore Estate is aglow with light and music from early in November through the year’s end. We would love to share this with you! The theme for 2016 is “Hearth and Home” and includes four decorated floors as well as a visit to the Artists’ Suite (not open during the day!). Live music is performed on the first and second floors.
Our special includes:
Two 2- day passes to the Biltmore with unlimited daytime house entry, access to the grounds, winery tour and gardens.
A special timed evening visit to the house where you may enjoy the splendor of a Biltmore Christmas in lights complete with music and other entertainment.
After your visit return home to our historic 1901 Bed & Breakfast built by Richard Sharpe Smith, one of the architects of the Biltmore itself. A Christmas tree graces the parlor and fresh greens fill the house with the scents of the season. A warm fire gives a pleasant glow both downstairs and in each of the six bedrooms. Enjoy special baked goods traditionally served at the holiday time as well as Biltmore beverages at our evening reception. Stroll to town past numerous houses all built between 1895 and 1920 and imagine how Asheville looked when Edith and George Vanderbilt lived here.
