Tucked away by itself in a quiet corner of the second floor, the Robin’s Nest is our most private room. In the rear of the house, it overlooks the gardens on two sides. In the spring, red bud trees and dogwoods spread their flowering branches below you. In the autumn, the vista looks out to the brilliant fall colors of the tree-covered gorgeous gardens.
The Robin’s Nest has a king-size bed flanked by two small blue-gray 3-drawer dressers. There is a sitting area in the corner of the bedroom with two gorgeous armchairs and a small blue agate-slice table to relax and enjoy your morning coffee. A small dressing room leads to a private bath with a walk-in shower and a pedestal sink. The floors have been restored to the original heart pine and a Chinese oriental rug now graces the floor.
